"Where am I headed?" It's an important question. But, there are more foundational ones: "Who am I, innately?" and "What matters to me?"

Before we set our destination, we need to calibrate our compass. When we begin with "What are my options and which do I choose?" we consider the obvious paths forward, but we might miss the path that leads to thriving.

So, let's start with naming what we want and need - this becomes our true north. With our compass in hand, we can make decisions about our careers with ease because we'll know which destination will provide the greatest alignment.

HOW IT WORKS

NEXT

FIRST

THEN

FINALLY

Tune out the world and tune into who you are, fundamentally. Understanding your design is essential to guide us towards work that is a true fit. We'll unpack what engages you, motivates you, and comes naturally to you.

All that data is great, but let's make it useable. Next, we'll be gleaning the salient insights we've learned from your design and what matters to you - pulling it all together to build your unique Career Compass.

Now, we'll be making crucial choices about what will guide you.  If you want your career to reflect what matters to you, we need to get intentional - let's define success, define your values, and define who you want to become.

Use your Career Compass to guide you! As you contemplate career options - deciding which roles, industries, and companies to pursue, or deciding on self-employment - your Career Compass is your guide.

CAREER COMPASS

INTRODUCING THE COURSE:

KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU WANT SO YOU CAN NAVIGATE YOUR CAREER WITH CONFIDENCE

PART I:
My Design

PART I: Who am I, inherently?

ENGAGEMENT

In this gathering, participants will be given assessments to help them define what energizes and engages them at work. We'll then explore practical steps to help each person maximize time spent in a state of flow.

Uncovering your strengths empowers you to craft a life consistent with those strengths. Operating within our strengths helps us work, sustainably, and make our highest point of contribution.

MOTIVATORS

What motivates you? Motivation is the animating – and sometimes invisible force - behind our choices. Let’s make the invisible visible. We’ll utilize an assessment tool to help us uncover your core motivation.

PART II: What matters to me?

04

VALUES

To live with integrity, we must first determine our values. You may know your values. But we’ll test if they are your core values, or just strategies to get what you want. When we confuse our strategies for our values, we may find that we go after a strategy (security) at the cost of what we really want (joy).

BECOMING

When we get clear about the kind of person we want to become, we can choose the work environment and people that will help us evolve. With this clarity, you can find opportunities that align, and pass up opportunities that might cost you who you want to become.

05
06

SUCCESS

Each of us has an idea as to what success means, though we may not have taken an opportunity to examine how we define success, and if that definition suits us. Too often, we default to a definition we’ve inherited from our families, from our culture, or from society at large. In this module, you’ll define for yourself the way you want to measure success.

PART III: My Compass

BUILD YOUR COMPASS

Leverage all the data you've collected to create a powerful Career Compass that's unique to you. Your Compass represents the truths you’ve uncovered about your design and your priorities. As your circumstances or your mood shift, reference this fixed compass, like a true north, to keep you headed in the right direction - towards thriving in your career.
